Your Failure Formula

Everyone knows the Famous  Micheal Jordan quote or the Wayne Gretzky quote about trying.

You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take.

-Wayne Gretzky

I especially like Jordan’s because of his detailed mention of failure.

I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

-Micheal Jordan

Effort and trying.. Yeha I get it.

But what about what’s in your head? That pain of failure and the irritation of slow results. That’s the dilemma I often have to deal with.  What’s another word for that?

Impatience.

Weakness

Low pain tolerance

Ever think that you’re being a wimp? It’s not always true, but is it possible that you quit because you haven’t committed to dealing with failure.  That’s really what’s it’s about, it’s about failing.  Taking a bunch of falls, getting back up and pushing forward.

Hard Training done everyday builds a strong body, but what’s more important is that it builds a strong mind.  The literal push of your muscles to near failure is what’s strengthens your resolve. Resolve to fail, learn and discover better ways to build a better you.

The failure formula is to not committing to dealing with the pain of failure.

So the success formula is to commit and deal with that pain and never stop trying.
