Everything is Worse
Anxiety, nervousness and fear of failure is almost always worse in your mind than it is in real life. If you really think about it, anxiety is really just a response to anticipation. The fear is rarely real , real in the sense that you’re actually in physical danger. It’s a combination of so many subconscious reflexes. In lots of ways, it’s like jumping into a bath of ice water. The anticipation is terrible before you jump in, but after you jump, it still “hurts” but the pain is different.
The pain you experience being in the ice bath is not quite like how you’d thought.
When it comes to transforming your body, the pain that you have to go through to change is terrible, but it’s nothing quite like you’d thought.
Everything is always worse in your head.
So when it comes to change, physical, financial , fitness, health, relationship, etc… You pick something and you just do it. You do the thing that you have to do everyday to make progress. It’s always worse in your head – much like writing this blog post that I’m sending to my email list.
I almost didn’t write this, but I did. I have to do it everyday if I want to accomplish what I want to accomplish.
The idea I’m selling is that if you want to make a significant change in your body, doing is probably about 80% of the problem.
