30 Day Food Logging Challenge, My first Pedicure & Subway
So I’m getting my first pedicure. The intense smell of nail polish and acetone made the subway next door seem much more appealing. I got burned out eating subway when they had the $5 foot long during the time when bread was less evil.
They had a pretty sweet $6 meal deal – 6 inch sub, bag of chips and a fountain drink.
It was about a 30 minute wait, so I’m here eating my favorite bag of chips, Doritos cool ranch and writing in evernote.
In my defense, I did pay the upgrade of 75 cents for half an avocado. So I got some healthy fats in.
This might be a bit of a stretch, but with the Swiss cheese, an Italian BMT sub almost tasted like pizza because of the salami.
At about half way through my 6 inch sub, I get a text from my wife that it’s our turn for our manicure. So now comes time for my demasculinization.
I’m a bit apprehensive, but I remembered my hero Kelly Starret getting one, so if it’s Kstar approved, count me in.
So here’s what my first manicure was like:
1.) Feet in hot water.
2.) Super comfortable massage chair.
3.) Gel, moisturizer on toes and feet
4.) Clipping toe nails and
Sanding heels with a rough sponge
5.) Massaging lower legs with lotion
6.) Massaging and rubbing with a hot rock
7.) Toel dry
Done!
It happened so fast. It was like watching the final episode of Mad Men or Firefly and realizing that it was all over.
My Fitness Pal 30 Day Food Logging Challenge [Day 0]
On my youtube channel I announced a food logging challenge. As of today, I’m 46 days strong with tracking my food. Of course, tracking your food doesn’t necessarily mean you’re eating well, but it’s one of those daily habits that keeps you mindful of what you put in your body.
You can set a weight loss goal if you want, but for this first time around, set something modest. I care more about continuing my habit of food tracking and want you to adopt it also if your goal is to lose some weight.
Some people are more motivated than others, and if you want, ad other goals. You can be aggressive with targets you set for yourself, but for right now, I’m challenging you to be consistent with this one habit. You can add me on My Fitness Pal and leave a comment on this video, but you don’t have to . If you watch the video, I mention my email address and you can email me directly. I didn’t post here because I don’t want to get spammed.
Of course, you can keep it to yourself, but that makes it so much more difficult.
At the end of the 30 days, I want to know if you’ve accomplished anythings worth noting. It could a new habit, it could be looser clothes, it could more energy or could just be that you feel better. I’m not looking for infomercial type transformations. I want help others lose body fat by sticking to small habits on a daily basis similar to what was explained in the Slight Edge by Jeff Olson.
Today is day 0 and tomorrow start day 1. Good Luck!
