Everyone is running out of time
Life is too short to not expect the best out of yourself.
What does that mean anyway?
Well, I’ll tell you what it means to me. It means to do the best you can with what you have. Most of our resources are limited, but are you really getting the most of it?
I’m not suggesting you’re not, but it’s a question you should occasionally ask yourself. Why do some of us have to lose a loved one to realize this?
It’s because what we appreciate can’t appreciated unless its taken away. For instance, I miss being able to deadlift 500lbs. Something I worked hard to build up to. Now, because of my hip injury, I can’t. I miss it so much – but during this break from powerlifting, I know I will appreciate it more when I can get back to training the way I want.
But for now, it’s really about finding another avenue of fitness satisfaction. As it stands, I’ve set a goal to lose some body fat, get lean. This time, I’m taking seriously – because I can’t train the way I want to. So to get the most out of my fitness life, I’m choosing to aim for a six pack. Not date set yet, but behaviors are in place.
Is there something you’ve always wanted to do that you haven’t been able to because of time? Everyone is running out of time. If it’s important to you, do something today to move you forward. A book you want to write? A weight loss goal you want to achieve? A business you want to start? It’s the small steps done everyday that have the greatest impact.
If don’t, your life wont be wasted, but it’s when we risk failing that we feel the most alive. It’s hard though.
